Developing the Students’ English Speaking Ability Through Impromptu Speaking Method ( Theoretical Review )

Welcome back to my blog loyal readers. This time I will continue the discussion about reviewing my journal. In the previous post I reviewed the introductory section of my journal. This time, I will continue to review the Theoretical Review section. Let's read more below!

Previously did anyone know what was an impromptu speaking?
So, according to Merriam Webster, impromptu speaking is:
1. Made, made or formed on or as if suddenly, improvised.
2. Compiled or pronounced without prior preparation.
Then, according to the Collins English Dictionary "Implications are applied to what is said, made or done suddenly to suit the occasion and emphasize spontaneity."

Based on this definition, I conclude that:
1. Direct discussion is done without preparation or spontaneously and is not studied and not memorized but spontaneous and natural. The most important thing to do in such an exam is to have the main points in mind.
2. Speak directly according to opportunity
Because impromptu speaking is done without or with little preparation and because of that done spontaneously in spurring moments, it depends on basic knowledge topic and understanding of the situation in which the speech was delivered. Because spontaneously, the language used is usually simple both from a vocabulary point of view and sentence structure used.

The impromptu speaking structure that I have concluded is as follows:
I. Introduction, move to main point 1, enter main point 1, move to main point 2, enter main point 2, move conclusion, conclusion

Then in this theoretical review also explains Tips for delivering impromptu talk.
First, Go Slowly. Second, Take your time to begin. Third, Stand tall. Fourth, Use your notes as reminders only. Fifth, talk conversationally. Sixth, watch the words. Seventh, Keep it short and to the point. And finally Personalize your speech.

Already understand, I will discuss in detail about what? Wait for the next discussion about the methodology, friend. Don't forget after reading, like and then comment. Thank you

Developing the Students’ English Speaking Ability Through Impromptu Speaking Method ( Introduction )

Hello, welcome back to my blog. How are you? of course, waiting for the latest article from me right? okay this time I made the latest article about my second journal Introduction. penaran isn't it? let's read full scroll down!

The introduction of my second journal explains how important language learning is, especially English. language is a tool or means of communication and English is the most widely used language in the world or internationally. English also has many goals, such as for academic, social, cultural, religious, bureaucratic and others. Then, if we want / have mastered English, we have mastered several aspects of skills in English, namely listening, writing, reading and speaking. It is all inseparable from each other, because the development of one skill will contribute to other developments. Sometimes, from these four skills there are two skills taught simultaneously because it has a contribution between the two. For example, speaking and listening skills. Why? Because if we want to understand someone speaking we must listen to it first. Of the four skills, speaking is usually prioritized in teaching English, why? Because speaking is the ability to express yourself, or the ability to express ideas. It shows that the teacher's first task is to encourage students to express their ideas by speaking. According to the author, one communicative way of developing this skill is by using impromptu speaking. Because when students speak impromptuly, they speak without preparation and only depend on the experience or insight they have ever gotten. With this method, the speaker or student applies spontaneity or improvisation and impromptu talk is usually used in simple language.

Surely you are increasingly curious about the contents of my journal, right? Okay, just wait for the next discussion. Thanks.
